Xbox One and PlayStation 4 are still going to receive some of the new titles, but the likes of PS3 and Xbox 360 will never do so. In fact, Microsoft is getting ready to further reduce the available Xbox 360 games, trying to give users a little nudge in the right direction.

Check out the games leaving the Xbox 360 marketplace

If you have an Xbox Series X|S console, remember that Asus collaborated with Microsoft to bring you a brand new OLED display elite controller. Also, if you get the 0x80a40026 error while using your Xbox console, you will find all the information you need to fix it right here. In a recent statement to Gematsu, Microsoft confirmed that beginning on February 7, 2023, a limited set of games, add-ons, and in-game content will no longer be purchasable in select markets via the Xbox 360 Store. That being said, if you still own and use an Xbox 360 console, you might want to stock up on some digital games soon. These titles will therefore no longer be purchasable on the Xbox 360 Store only, except the titles that are available to be purchased on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S Stores, which will remain purchasable. Don’t worry, you will still be able to play discs or previously downloaded games on your Xbox 360 and modern consoles if they are backward-compatible titles. Microsoft’s recent actions sort of confirm user speculation that the tech giant’s recent reveal that certain Xbox 360 games being delisted from the aging Xbox 360 platform would not impact those games’ availability on modern Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. That still leaves games that are not backward compatible ceasing to be available on their original platform, while even games that are backward compatible on modern Xboxes may no longer be available due to the games not having a listing on the current Xbox Store. The support page includes links to the games that will be removed in each country and territory. The list of titles that will be taken down in the US market includes:

Aegis Wing Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Assassin’s Creed III Assassin’s Creed IV Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD Blood of the Werewolf Blue Dragon Breakdown Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Call of Duty: Ghosts Castle Crashers Cloning Clyde Counter-Strike: GO Dark Souls Darksiders II DAYTONA USA Defense Grid Eets: Chowdown Far Cry 2 Final Fight: DblImpact Iron Brigade Jeremy McGrath’s Offroad Jet Set Radio Left 4 Dead Left 4 Dead 2 LIMBO Lost Odyssey Mass Effect 2 MONOPOLY DEAL Mutant Blobs Attack N+ Outpost Kaloki X Peggle 2 Phantom Breaker: Battle Grounds Prince of Persia R.U.S.E. Sega Vintage Collection: Alex Kidd & Co. Skate 2 South Park: The Stick of Truth Spelunky Splinter Cell Conviction Star Wars Battlefront Star Wars KOTOR 2 The Orange Box The Raven Episode 1 The Witcher 2

Keep in mind that the page does point out that once you have purchased a game from the Xbox 360 Marketplace, you can still delete it from the hard drive and redownload it from the storefront at any time. We currently don’t know if any of the games on this list will also not be available on the newer Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles for play via backward compatibility. In fact, many of these Xbox 360 games are also not available for sale digitally on Microsoft’s newer consoles, so it’s possible that a few Xbox 360 titles could just disappear from sale completely after February 7. Which of the games that are being removed do you feel the saddest about? Share your thoughts with us in the comments section below.
